Foreword

It is very pleasing news for the teaching profession to note that the Chief Executive's Award for Teaching Excellence (CEATE) has succeeded in recognising about 600 accomplished teachers in different Key Learning Areas or key areas since its launch in 2003. The scope of CEATE has also been extended to include worthwhile themes and new areas of concern since CEATE (2010/2011). CEATE (2012/2013) is the fourth CEATE of the second round and open to teachers of Guidance and Discipline, Science Education Key Learning Area (KLA) and Technology Education KLA.
