Terms of Reference of the Chief Executive's Award for Teaching Excellence Sub-committee
 

(a)   oversee the planning and implementation of the ATE, including formulating the nominations rules, devising the assessment framework and planning the publicity;
(b) devise the elements of the ATE including types of awards, eligibility, nomination procedure, selection criteria, and adjudication procedure;
(c) deliberate on and formulate strategies for disseminating best practices and experience gained from the scheme; and
(d) review the effectiveness of the ATE.

Terms of Reference of the Assessment Working Group
 
 
(a) advise on the nomination procedures and associated requirements for the ATE;
(b) advise on the assessment criteria and associated matters including screening and assessment procedures of the ATE;
(c) advise and oversee the assessment process and recommend to the Chief Executive's Award for teaching Excellence Sub-committee a list of awardees, and to carry out such tasks with the assistance of co-opted experts or specially formed panels if necessary; and
(d) review the nomination, assessment and adjudication processes following the completion of such processes.

Terms of Reference of the Dissemination and Networking Working Group
 
(a) identify areas of the teaching practices of the awardees for dissemination and sharing;
(b) formulate dissemination and sharing strategies for exemplary teaching practices of the awardees;
(c) develop the networking of the awardees to help foster a culture of excellence and collaboration in the teaching profession; and
(d) review and evaluate the effectiveness of dissemination and networking activities.
