The Award Presentation Ceremony of the Chief Executive's Award for Teaching Excellence (2013/2014) has brought to a successful close on 11 July 2014. The assessment results have been announced. Among 148 nominations received, 13 nominations (37 teachers) were recommended for the Award and 12 nominations (30 teachers) for the Certificate of Merit. Award Presentation Ceremony of CEATE (2013/2014)
To honour accomplished teachers who demonstrate teaching excellence in "Curriculum Leadership", "Liberal Studies", "Personal, Social and Humanities Education Key Learning Area" and "Physical Education Key Learning Area", the Award Presentation Ceremony of Chief Executive's Award for Teaching Excellence (2013/2014) will be held at 3:00 p.m., 11 July 2014 (Friday) at the CGO Conference Hall, 2/F, Central Government Offices, 2 Tim Mei Avenue, Tamar, Hong Kong.

A series of Teachers' TV programmes comprised of 12 episodes to showcase the awarded teaching practices of CEATE (2011/2012) and CEATE (2012/2013) have been produced by the Education Bureau and RTHK. Awarded teaching practices introduced in the programmes include Arts Education Key Learning Area (KLA), Information Technology in Education, Pre-primary Education, Guidance and Discipline, Science Education KLA and Technology Education KLA. A 5-minute version and a one-hour version have been produced for each episode.

The Showcase of the Chief Executive’s Award for Teaching Excellence 2013 will be held on 23 November 2013 (Saturday) in Education Bureau Kowloon Tong Education Services Centre, 19 Suffolk Road, Kowloon Tong.

The Showcase 2013 comprises 21 sharing sessions and a plenary forum. The 21 sharing sessions feature the teaching practices of the awarded teachers in Science Education Key Learning Area, Technology Education Key Learning Area and Guidance and Discipline. The topic of the plenary forum is “Enhancing Students’ Self-management Abilities, Emotional Quotient and Adversity Quotient”. The plenary forum will be conducted in an interactive way. The speakers will share the topic from the perspectives of home-school co-operation and academic research. Please click here to view the programme rundown of the Showcase.

Enrolment can be made via the Training Calendar System of the Education Bureau (http://tcs.edb.gov.hk) (Course ID: CGPDT020130263) OR complete the registration form and return it to the CEATE Secretariat by fax (fax no.: 3150 8591) or by email (peta@edb.gov.hk) on or before 15 November 2013. The Chief Executive's Award for Teaching Excellence (2013/2014) accepts nominations from now until 4 October 2013. All nominations should reach the CEATE Secretariat, 11/F, Wu Chung House, 213 Queen's Road East, Wan Chai, Hong Kong on or before 4 October 2013.
